Listener's Perspective

I recently completed the John le Carré story of Cold War espionage titled, The Spy Who Came in from the Cold. I borrowed it my local library and you may find it published by Recorded Books, LLC. It's six CDs and about 6.25 hours listening time. I've found the book to be much more moving and compelling than the movie by the same name. If you are into spy novels as I am, you'll enjoy this classic tale.

One of the more difficult things about listening to an audiobook is the handling and management of the discs. I'm looking for a way to remove, store, pull & insert a disc all while driving my car. I find this one of the hardest tasks. All of this takes place in my car in the dark during the morning or evening commutes.

Perhaps the answer is having a CD player that takes more than one disc; this would be a great fumble saver.

The Commute

I decided I needed to blog about the commute from my house to a new job that is 60+ miles away. I hope to share my encounters with people, driving in northwest Ohio weather, audio books, music and radio programs I hear and etc. Perhaps I can review a book or two; who knows, even meet some of the travelers with which I share the roadway.
